James was in one of our local areas of Chislehurst in the borough of Bromley to install these bi-fold track system shutters for a clients property. Many customers associate our plantation shutters with windows, but installing them as a divider is just another application which works great within the home.
These shutter panels have been installed on a track system and with a simple pull can be simply bi-folded to the left and right. We created these shutters to split in the middle allowing 4 panels to the left and 4 panels to the right, neatly folded out the way.
When pulled closed the shutters can be operated in exactly the same way as our window shutters, with louvre adjustment top and bottom thanks to the mid rail section. These shutters feature hidden tilt rod system to there is no need for slightly tilt rods which may look out of place on this kind of installation. It also allows for a neater way of adjusting the louvres from both sides of the panels.
The shutters are made from our lightweight Fiji range which allows for the easy movement of shutters, but with the mid rail and fitment to the track still provides enough strength so the shutters don’t get damaged over time. We used nice thick 89mm louvres and finished in pure white with matching hinges.
Not only do these shutters look fantastic in such a lovely property, but they provide a great deal of usability for the homeowners and will be enjoyed for years to come!
