Plantation Shutters With Hidden Tilt Rod

You can personalise many different aspects of your shutter design when you purchase shutters from us. This includes the type of tilt rods that are used. You can select an option that suits your taste or encourages ease of use. Certain shutter shapes may benefit from a non-standard tilt rod.

What is a tilt rod?

Tilt rods are fitted to make it easy to open and close your shutters. Using this simple mechanism lets you quickly adjust the louvres to achieve the ideal light level for your room. With your input we can work with you to decide on the best tilt rod style for your shutter design. Not only will this look fantastic, but it will function in the way that you require.

Centred and offset tilt rods

A centred tilt rod will sit neatly down the middle of your shutter, while an offset tilt rod can be placed to the left or right. Offsetting the tilt rod can be a great fit for some of our shaped shutters. It can also make it easier to operate your shutters, depending on where in the room they are located.

Silent/hidden tilt rods

A silent or hidden tilt rod can help you achieve a minimalistic look. A grooved mechanism is included within the side of the shutter so that, by adjusting one louvre, all the louvres operate in unison. This means there is no visible tilt rod within the shutter design. This is an optional upgrade that can be requested on all our shutter installations.
