We are local shutter experts, making shutters to suit all our customers on an individual basis. Our ethos is to match you with your ideal shutters, ensuring that they suit your property and your lifestyle. Whether you own a business in Brentwood, our you’re one of the 76,000+ people living in the area, you can find the right option with us.

Brentwood has a long and interesting history, with Bronze Age artefacts found in Weald Country Park, and the now-ruined chapel of St. Thomas a Becket, which stands on the south side of Brentwood High Street. Today, though, the borough of Brentwood is a modern area on the commuter belt. New flats have been built in many areas, including St. James Road, and Eagle Way, Warley. There are many older properties too, such as the character homes around St. Peters Road. We design shutters for properties of any age, and of any style – they will suit you and your home perfectly.

Shutters for living room and bedroom of home in Brentwood, Essex

Tom and John visited Brentwood in Essex to fit these shutters to two rooms of our client Jan’s home. We were tasked with creating and installing some plantation shutters to her living room and one of the bedrooms, which both featured some nice long bay window areas.

After taking highly accurate measurements, we worked with Jan to come up with the perfect design for both her rooms. In the living room it was decided to use full height shutters with a mid rail towards the top of the shutters. The mid rail not only lines up perfectly with the window lines, but adds some extra strength to shutters of this height on a wide window area.

In the bedroom we used full height shutters with a hidden split, which acts much in the same way as a mid rail, but without the split being visible, perfect for a smaller window area than downstairs.

All shutters were created using our Fiji hardwood material and although differ slightly in style because of the mid rails, are perfectly matched up using pure white paint and matching white hinges. All shutters use a 4 sided deep plain L framing and in this case the customer opted to keep her current curtains in front of the shutters which we think looks fantastic!
